As a continuation from my last blog whereby I believe the root of “World Peace” is centered on peace in the Middle East with the first step being negotiated peace between Israel and the Palestinians, I would like to remain objective and independent in my views such that I would like to today focus on Syria once again in my views as they still seem to be the closest at this time to a full fledge war of rage like wild animals stuck together in a cage. However, it is important to note that Israel and Palestine seem to be awakening from their hatred induced coma state with the potential for peace negotiations to be resumed in the near future in the United States while Egypt continues to operate in supremacy domination mode whereby the minority Christian military continues to hold on to power while the Muslim majority is fuming at the seems hoping to awaken from this horrible dream. While Israelis, Palestinians and Egyptians continue along their respective paths toward enlightenment, it is now time for the Syrians to be enlightened as to the path of quelling their current bloodbath before any more Syrians get slaughtered like pigs by heartless individuals who seem by this type of behaviour to feel big. In summary, regardless of what has transpired over the last two years in Syria, Russia was able to reach a deal on behalf of President Bashar Al-Assad to appease the US whereby President Bashar Al-Assad has agreed to turn over his entire chemical arsenal to the International community in exchange for the US and its allies calling off their proposed military strike. It is important to note that this conflict is slowly but certainly developing into a formula for disaster as twin explosions in southern Beirut on Tuesday morning came in quick succession: first, a suicide bomber rammed his motorbike into the gate of the Iranian Embassy, before 10 A.M. Then another drove an explosives-laden car into the area, leaving at least twenty-three people dead, including the embassy’s cultural attaché, and more than a hundred and fifty wounded. By early afternoon, a Lebanese Sunni Al Qaeda affiliate, Kataib Abdullah Azzam, had claimed responsibility for Tuesday’s attack, saying it was in retaliation for the Lebanese Shiite militant group Hezbollah sending its men to fight alongside Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s troops, and for Iran’s support of both Assad and Hezbollah. Without getting into further excessive additional details, I would like to highlight that the tensions within Syria have started to spread across its borders under the old school principal of everyone is out there to protect their own first and foremost. That being said, the greatest risk with this Syrian conflict is that you have two strong sides with militia fighters, who are all ready to die as martyrs for their respective cause, such that there is no respect other than the respect of a bomb to the head of innocent people who are not responsible yet find themselves dead. Therefore, once again, it is imperative for both sides to this conflict to negotiate a Syrian peace deal before we have militia blowing up targets galore while the politicians pursue their respective personal, financial and political interests while the underlying problems continue to be ignored.

The prospect is especially chilling given that Al Qaeda-linked fighters in Syria seem determined to use the embattled nation as a haven from which to launch future attacks beyond the region, according to Republican Mike Rogers from Michigan, who chairs the House Intelligence Committee. Middle Eastern wars drawing insurgents from around the globe is not new, but Rogers said there appears to be even greater intensity in Syria, where Muslim militants have joined Syrians in a bid to oust President Bashar al-Assad. In my opinion, these Jihadists historically have shown the propensity to blow back, particularly if armed, and they're trained in the art of war such that if they take control of Syria, the Jihadists will likely rule Syria as bad as they feel that current President Bashar Al-Assad has ruled Syria in the past. In my opinion, the key point to note is that when the alternative is as risky as the status quo, the only true solution is to share power such that each respective side keeps their opposition in line without anyone crossing the sensitive red lines. That is, if any one side gets complete and unilateral control of Syria, they will likely behave in a fashion of extermination of their opponents like rats such that it is very dangerous for any one side to rule Syria with an iron clad fist as the dominant party will likely bound their adversaries like slaves in iron clad chains around their wrists.

The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons said that inspectors would complete destruction of equipment for mixing chemicals and filling weapons by the start of November, an important milestone. However, the Syrian war continues to rage on such that on November 6, 2013, at least seven people were killed by an explosion in the centre of the Syrian capital, Damascus. No group has said it was behind the blast but Sana again quoted police sources blaming “Terrorists”. The attacks come a day after the latest round of international diplomacy failed to fix a date for a long-delayed peace conference on the Syrian conflict. Attempts to set up a conference have been going on for months amid disputes over who should attend and its agenda. The Syrian opposition has insisted President Bashar al-Assad should resign before any talks can begin, but the government has rejected this. The US and Russia disagree on whether Syria's key regional neighbour Iran should be present. Without getting into further excessive additional details, I would like to highlight my opinions regarding the recent developments. First, the recent attack in the Syrian capital, Damascus whereby no side has formally taken responsibility clearly indicates to me that both of the respective sides have entered into the realm of protecting their respective political, financial and personal interests such that both sides have entered into the modern day world blame game whereby everybody points the finger at their opponents and never ever takes any responsibilities for their respective actions. Therefore, everybody should stop with their respective facades of trying to be altruistic in terms of who should attend and who should not attend peace negotiations contemporaneously with trying to set pre-conditions to peace negotiations as in my opinion every bodies’ hands to this conflict are dirty. Therefore, in my opinion, all Parties with a vested interest to this conflict should be present at peace negotiations unless they pose a security risk, in which case I would recommend real-time on-line teleconferencing to avoid any physical strikes were the opposing Parties to sit side by side. International inspectors have completed verification of Syria’s chemical weapons arsenal at 21 of the 23 sites identified by the government, but they have been unable to visit the other two because they are in contested areas in Syria’s civil war, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons said in a statement on Monday, October 28, 2013. The organization also said that inspectors would complete destruction of equipment for mixing chemicals and filling weapons by the start of November, an important milestone. In my opinion, President Bashar Al-Assad should now focus on the next step in this process which is for the Russians to continue negotiations on his behalf and the US to continue negotiations of behalf of the Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces to put an end to over two years of hell in the Syrian cell. Although the US and its allies would like President Bashar Al-Assad to resign as a pre-condition to negotiations, it is my opinion that the USA will have to wait until hell freezes over before President Bashar Al-Assad will step down from power. However, in my opinion, President Bashar Al-Assad has demonstrated with his agreement to destroy his chemical arsenal that although he may be a little bit crazy, he is not stupid such that he should be able to participate constructively in negotiations for a proposed Syrian peace deal to be sealed. In my opinion, whether one likes or hates President Bashar Al-Assad is irrelevant as all which is relevant right now is that all of this senseless bloodshed over the course of more that two years is put to an end before Syria is a pile of rubble while all respective Parties continue to live in their respective and opposing bubbles.

On October 1, 2013, the U.S. Congress plunged America into a partial government shutdown as a long-running dispute over President Barack Obama's health care law stalled a temporary funding bill, forcing about 800,000 federal workers off the job and suspending most non-essential federal programs and services. With the Republican-controlled House and Democratic-controlled Senate at a stalemate, the government was shuttered until Wednesday, October 16. From October 1 to 16, 2013, the United States federal government entered a shutdown and curtailed most routine operations after Congress failed to enact legislation appropriating funds for fiscal year 2014, or a continuing resolution for the interim authorization of appropriations for fiscal year 2014. Approximately 800,000 federal employees were indefinitely furloughed, and another 1.3 million were required to report to work without known payment dates. Only those employees and services deemed “exceptions” under the Anti Deficiency Act continued government operations. The 16-day duration of the October 2013 shutdown was the third-longest government shutdown in U.S. history, after the 18-day shutdown in 1978 and the 21-day 1995–96 shutdown. That being said, why is it that the Republican-controlled House and Democratic-controlled Senate behaved like Neanderthal, Barbarian, Idiosyncratic, Self-Centered and Non-Democratic Hooligans? In simple English, the relationship between the Republicans and the Democrats continues to be like a dysfunctional marriage whereby both Parties hate each other for being different but yet stay together because they are forced by factors beyond their control like an oath of marriage pledged before God consisting of “until death do us part” except that the Republicans and Democrats will never die such that they can never to each other say goodbye. Therefore, although the Republicans and Democrats have become blinded by hate, I would like to rekindle their memories that the solution to their problems lies in that as once said by Albert Einstein, “Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding.” It is obvious to me that the current approach between the Republican-controlled House and Democratic-controlled Senate goes against this basic premise which is why the USA almost triggered a self-inflicted financial apocalypse. From my perspective when each of the respective Parties focuses exclusively on their respective personal, financial and political interests with no sense of values, morals, principals and ethics, we see the results with a 16 day shutdown of pain whereby in the end with so many losses, no one had any gain. It is not very complicated from my simple point of view to see that if the USA wants to get back to their Glory days, they need to stop fighting each other from within like Neanderthal, Barbarian, Idiosyncratic, Self-Centered and Non-Democratic Hooligans because this is killing their GDP which in turn kills half of the modern world economies. Therefore, I would suggest that the USA bring in the best psychiatrist and marriage counselor in the world to coach them in the art of compromise as “Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding”.
