If you’re wondering what “Oluja Part XV” is, “Oluja Part XV” is the continuation from my last Blogue. “Oluja” which you may recall is the code name given to a large-scale military operation carried out by Croatian Armed Forces, in conjunction with the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to gain back control of parts of Croatia and Bosnia which had been claimed by the Serbs early in 1991. Its engagement was approved by the U.S. government and began shortly before dawn on August 4, 1995 and ended with a complete victory for the Croatian and Bosnian forces four days later. In my last Blogue, I focused on why our Croatian Generals were sentenced by The Hague as per the “new aged legion of Croatians” still loyal to our generals and our heroes Ante Gotovina, Mladen Markac, Branimir Glavas, Slobodan Praljak and Mirko Norac. In particular, I focused on our belief that the sentencing of our Croatian Generals and our heroes had nothing to do with imposing justice but rather all to do with predisposed biases against our Croatian Generals and our heroes which resulted in the imposition of justice based on a biased presentation of the facts and circumstances of operation “Oluja”. Today, I would like to focus on why the “new aged legion of Croatians” still loyal to our generals and our heroes refuse to be silenced about our side of the story behind “Oluja”. From our perspective, we Croatians pursued a diplomatic sovereign agenda back in 1991 that resulted in a clear majority victory for the separatist movement. However, Slobodan Milosevic, who was the President of Yugoslavia at the time refused to negotiate with our Croatian democratically elected President at the time, Dr. Franjo Tudman, but rather chose to pursue a vicious, barbaric, Neanderthal, sadistic, psychopathic and heartless attack against the then defenseless Croatian population. The world never hears about Dr. Franjo Tudman’s gallant attempts to reach a negotiated succession plan from Yugoslavia at the time and how Dr. Franjo Tudjman was not interested in a military solution in order to separate Croatia from the former Yugoslavia at the time. Furthermore, the world never hears how Slobodan Milosevic, the President of Yugoslavia at the time, preferred to flex his muscle against democratic principals in an attempt to crush the Croatian populaces’ democratic decision, via referendum, to pursue independence and a sovereign Croatian country. Dr. Franjo Tudjman, President of Croatia at the time, and his loyal Croatian Generals and Croatian National Guard were given no choice other that a military offensive to liberate Croatia from an aggressor who clearly attacked the Croatian populace first. Therefore, operation “Oluja” was completely justified at the time as it was required in order to support the democratic decision of the Croatian mass population to be an independent country. As I have attempted to illustrate above, there were predisposed biases against our Croatian Generals and their loyal “Croatian National Guard” who were clearly serving a democratically elected President and democratic Croatian country at the time and none of the propaganda crimes presented at The Hague. In summary, I refer to Peaceful Minds “Oluja Part XV” style as the belief that when democratic principals fail, the honest, innocent and righteous get nailed.

If you’re wondering what “Oluja Part XIV” is, “Oluja Part XIV” is the continuation from my last Blogue. Today, I would like to focus on the code of war followed by our Croatian Generals during operation “Oluja” which was clearly in the spirit of self-defense to end the “Croatian and Bosnian Holocaust”. That is, the Croatian Generals did not give their Croatian soldiers execution orders of their adversaries on the battlefield of war during the liberation of Croatia in conformance with the UN resolutions covering permissible acts of war. Rather, adversaries on the battlefield who laid down their weapons were taken as prisoners of war whereas adversaries on the battlefield who refused to surrender were killed in self-defense. Although war is a terrible thing, when a conflict reaches the level of war on the battlefield, a soldier must always kill an armed adversary on the battlefield first before that adversary is able to strike. This principal of “kill before being killed” is the reality of war on the battlefield such that an adversary who does not lay down his or her weapons and kneel to the ground with his or her hands behind their heads is considered a threat for which no mercy may be shown other than the mercy of a bullet. The Croatian Generals and our heroes fought in conformance with these principals of war, as sanctioned by the UN, in order to win. Therefore, the deaths which arose on the battlefield of war were a natural by-product of war which could not have been prevented in the context of the war such that our Croatian Generals and our heroes did not commit any crime although they are doing a lot of time. As I have attempted to illustrate above, there were predisposed biases against our Croatian Generals and their loyal “Croatian National Guard” who were clearly serving a democratically elected President and democratic Croatian country at the time and none of the propaganda crimes presented at The Hague. In summary, I refer to Peaceful Minds “Oluja Part XIV” style as the belief that liars and cheaters may lead the short-term score but honesty, integrity and respect will win the long-term war.
